MedCommons® is a lightweight and easy to deploy platform for document management and medical imaging on the Web, available under license and as an On Demand Cloud Service. It is used by both doctors and patients.
This site is oriented towards systems integrators, oems, vars, and others who might deploy, embed and / or extend the MedCommons Platform. Doctors and patients can try our on demand service here. Federal mandates are now requiring patient control of medical records. To support and maintain permanent archival accounts over the lifetime of patients, the MedCommons Platform can be integrated into a healthcare customer's operations. This fault-tolerant and fully scalable repository is built upon standard data formats and common hardware and software interfaces, ensuring that the customer is always in a position to switch vendors of hospital systems. The Federal Government is driving all health care providers to communicate in a consistent manner and are promoting free software for the connection of disparate healthcare systems and networks and suggesting its use in some federal solicitations. As the federal NHIN standards solidify MedCommons will allow its customers to route documents via the federal network to other institutions and individuals. |
